David Mendenhall Career
At the age of four, Mendenhall was already stepping in the acting showbiz. In 1979 he went on to audition for a soap opera that aired at the time, titled General Hospital. The soap opera was a success, and Mendenhall got the part of Mike Webber. He appeared in General Hospital until 1986. During his time at General Hospital, he also auditions for various parts and roles. One of those was a movie titled Space Raiders, and in 1983 Mendenhall audition for a part. He landed the role, and Space Raiders was his first movie in which he appeared in. Space Raiders was produced by Roger Corman.

Upon reaching the age of 15, the young actor had already portrayed various characters. He was the son of Elaine Nardo in Taxi, a drug dealer in The Reporter, and he appeared in an episode of Diff’rent Strokes, which featured Nancy Reagan, the First Lady during that time. In 1987 when he was 15 years old, Mendenhall was back to back with Sylvester Stallone in Over the Top. 1987 was a very successful year for young Mendenhall because he managed to portray more than one character. The young actor appeared in Going Bananas, which had Dom DeLuise and Jimmie Walker. Two years later, he succeeded in getting a role in a movie titled The Secret of the Ice Cave, and the film featured Sally Kellerman. Mendenhall and Christina Applegate appeared together in Streets, and that movie was also produced by Roger Corman. During Our House, the NBC drama, Mendenhall also had a role during its two seasons. Our House’s main star was Wiford Brimley.

Biography
David Mendenhall was born in Oceanside, California. He performed voice acting in animated movies and TV series, like Rainbow Brite, The Berenstain Bears, and most notably The Transformers: The Movie. He performed an award-winning role from 1979 to 1986 as young Mike Webber in General Hospital. At age 15, Mendenhall got a role with Sylvester Stallone in Over the Top, about a long haul truck driver who tries to win back his alienated son while becoming a champion arm wrestler. He also appeared in the 1990 movie Streets with Christina Applegate.
Mendenhall has a degree in law. His sister Marissa has also been an actress since childhood.

Mendenhall was born in Oceanside, California. He has a younger sister, Marissa. Mendenhall began his acting career at the age of four. In 1979, he auditioned for and won the role of Mike Webber on the soap opera General Hospital. He remained with the series until 1986. During that time, Mendenhall started acting in feature films. Mendenhall made his film debut in the 1983 space Western, Space Raiders, produced by Roger Corman. Notable television appearances during the 80s also included playing Elaine Nardo’s son on Taxi on three episodes, and playing a 12-year-old drug dealer in “The Reporter”, a very special episode of the sitcom Diff’rent Strokes. The episode featured a guest appearance by then-First Lady Nancy Reagan.

Education and later work[edit]
In 1994, Mendenhall enrolled in the theater arts program at California State University, San Bernardino.[citation needed] In 1996, he transferred to the University of Southern California and graduated magna cum laude in 1998 with a bachelor’s degree.[citation needed] Later that year, Mendenhall attended Southwestern Law School, graduating in 2001.[citation needed]
Mendenhall has since worked at the legal departments of several entertainment companies, including NBCUniversal Television Group, and Buena Vista Home Entertainment.[citation needed] From 2007-08, he was the clearance coordinator for the NBC television program Deal or No Deal.[citation needed] Afterwards he worked in the prize department on GSN Live for the Game Show Network, and later as a prize producer for shows on NBC and Fox.[citation needed]
In 2012, he returned to acting with a brief role in Bobcat Goldthwait’s God Bless America.[citation needed]
