Nel marzo del 2010 Mario Salieri intraprende il coraggioso tentativo di ritornare alla grande fiction ero-pornografica, un genere da lui stesso creato, attraverso l’ideazione di un serial ambientato tra gli anni quaranta ed i sessanta del novecento. Il progetto prevede la realizzazione di quattro episodi incentrati sul racconto di una storia avvincente, dominata da un raffinato erotismo dai toni cupi e perversi, in piena sintonia con lo stile classico di Salieri. Nasce così Band of Bastards, un affresco storico curato nei minimi dettagli e dotato di una forza narrativa travolgente. La serie, interpretata da numerosi attori teatrali e da grandi stelle dell’industria pornografica mondiale, descrive gli aspetti più oscuri dell’essere umano attraverso le vicende di tre soldati del Regio Esercito Italiano impegnati sul teatro bellico Russo durante la seconda guerra mondiale. La regia di Salieri propone uno stile documentaristico, volutamente privo di virtuosismi tecnici, che restituisce alla narrazione un impressionante realismo. Interamente girata in presa diretta audio, l’opera è godibile in una moltitudine di lingue facilmente comprensibili attraverso delle efficaci sottotitolazioni.

Roland Deschain
Roland Deschain, son of Steven Deschain, was born in the Barony of Gilead, in In-World. Roland is the last surviving gunslinger, a man whose goal is finding and climbing to the top of the Dark Tower, purported to be the very center of existence, so that he may right the wrongs in his land. This quest is his obsession, monomania and geas to Roland: In the beginning the success of the quest is more important than the lives of his family and friends. He is a man who lacks imagination, and this is one of the stated reasons for his survival against all odds: he can not imagine anything other than surviving to find the Tower.
Eddie Dean
Edward Cantor «Eddie» Dean first appears in The Drawing of the Three, in which Roland encounters three doors that open into the New York City of our world in different times. Through these doors, Roland draws companions who will join him on his quest, as the Man In Black foretold. The first to be drawn is Eddie Dean, a drug addict and a first-time cocaine mule. Eddie lives with his older brother and fellow junkie Henry, whom Eddie reveres despite the corrupting influence Henry has had upon his life. Roland helps Eddie fight off a gang of mobsters for whom he was transporting the cocaine, but not before Eddie discovers that Henry has died from an overdose of heroin in the company of the aforementioned mobsters (after which the mobsters decide to chop off Henry’s head). It is because of Eddie’s heroin addiction that he is termed ‘The Prisoner’, and that is what is written upon the door from which Roland draws him.

Diretto e scritto da Maren Ade, Vi presento Toni Erdmann racconta la storia di Winfried, insegnante di musica che non vede da molto tempo la figlia Ines, oberata dal lavoro, e che decide di raggiungerla per farle una sorpresa. Il suo gesto, perГІ, si rivela azzardato: Ines sta lavorando a Bucarest a un importante progetto a cui dedica tempo, dedizione e serietГ . Il cambiamento geografico, inoltre, non aiuta i due a relazionarsi come si dovrebbe. Winfried, vero burlone, ama infastidire la figlia con scherzi banali ma la giovane donna non ha tempo per qualcosa che esuli dalla sua routine lavorativa. Padre e figlia arrivano dunque a un punto di non ritorno e, seppur a malincuore, Winfried accetta di ritornarsene a casa in Germania. Poco dopo la sua partenza, nella vita di Ines fa la sua comparsa lo strambo Toni Erdmann, che altri non ГЁ che il padre Winfried sotto mentite spoglie. Con un cappello di cattivo gusto, una strana parrucca e curiosi denti finti, Toni irrompe nella vita professionale di Ines spacciandosi come il life coach della compagnia per cui lavora. Ha inizio cosГ¬ un audace tira e molla che permetterГ a Ines di capire di dover trovare posto nella sua vita per l’eccentrico genitore.
Con la direzione della fotografia di Patrick Orth, le scenografie di Silke Fischer e i costumi di Gitti Fuchs,В #Vi presento #Toni Erdmann viene cosГ¬ presentato dalla regista in occasione della partecipazione del film in concorso al Festival di Cannes 2016: В«Tutti i miei film hanno uno spunto di partenza autobiografico. Quando poi si parla di famiglia, ГЁ impossibile in fase di scrittura sfuggire alla propria esperienza: non c’ГЁ niente che si conosca meglio delle proprie origini. Si ha una sola famiglia e il rapporto tra genitori e figli ГЁ qualcosa che segna per tutta la vita e da cui non si puГІ scappare. Ed ГЁ questo il fulcro di Vi presento Toni Erdmann#. Ines, la figlia, pensa che la famiglia in cui ГЁ cresciuta non abbia piГ№ rilevanza nella sua esistenza. Tutti sono intrappolati in ruoli giГ assegnati e le interazioni tra i componenti rispondono a rigidi modelli, quasi rituali, da cui nessuno puГІ esimersi.
La trasformazione di Winfried in Toni non ГЁ altro che un coraggioso tentativo di rompere lo schema del rapporto padre-figlia. Toni ГЁ frutto della sua disperazione. L’umorismo spesso ГЁ la chiave per affrontare una situazione tragica e come tale ГЁ figlio del dolore: Winfried non ГЁ riuscito a ristabilire un contatto con la figlia e ha cercato invano di ridefinire il contatto con lei. Ha perГІ perso e, mosso dal desiderio di starle vicino e dal risentimento che inevitabilmente prova nei suoi confronti, trova una curiosa via di uscita presentandosi sotto le mentite ed esuberanti spoglie di Toni. L’umorismo ГЁ l’unica arma a sua disposizione e vuole approfittarne. CiГІ comporta la nascita di qualcosa di molto duro: Ines, del resto, ГЁ un osso duro ed egli ГЁ costretto a «parlare» l’unico linguaggio che la giovane donna capisce.
Ines lavora in un campo dominato dagli uomini e ciГІ rende i suoi conflitti prettamente contemporanei. Ha iniziato la sua carriera convinta che autodeterminazione e uguaglianza fossero caratteristiche tipiche della sua generazione, dando per scontato di non avere bisogno di far ricorso a idee femministe oramai obsolete. Non era mia intenzione criticare il mondo degli affari ma tale ambiente, dominato ancora dal sessismo, mi serviva per mostrare meglio la psicologia del personaggio.
Il conflitto tra padre e figlia ha anche valenza politica. Winfried ha combattuto tutta la vita per garantire alla figlia la fiducia e lo spirito indipendente di cui aveva bisogno per farsi strada nel mondo. Ines, invece, ha scelto di vivere un’esistenza molto lontana dagli ideali che il padre ha instillato in lei da bambina, optando per un campo lavorativo molto conservatore e orientato alle prestazioni.
