Foxx suffered an aneurysm after collapsing on December 27, 2003, when returning home from a grocery store. She suffered a stroke in January 2004 which left her «virtually unconscious.» Friend and fellow adult star Ami Charms stated that on January 19, that doctors «ended up doing an EEG and there wasn’t any more brain activity» after Foxx’s feeding tubing was moved to a side insertion. She was returned home to be cared for by her family with assistance from Nathan Adelson Home Hospice. Whilst looking after his wife at home, Arthur Alan Hergett died in 2005 (November 28, 1938 — May 1, 2005) and her website ceased operating that same year. The couple were reportedly in the process of setting up their own distribution and production company at the time of Foxx’s fall.
Foxx died on September 21, 2006 at a care home. Her stepson, Mark Alan Hergett, also died on the same day. She was buried at the Palm Valley View Memorial Park in Las Vegas, Clark County, Nevada, interred alongside her husband and stepson. What became of her daughter, Michelle Hergett, did not become widely known by early October 2017.

In 1989 she was noticed by an adult industry talent scout who convinced her to appear in a nude photo layout for a men’s magazine. Afterwards,she was asked if she would be interested in being in an adult film, and in 1990 she made her debut in Nympho Heaven. Foxx would later say that she loved having sex in front of a camera so much that she quickly decided to be an adult film actress for as long as men would desire to have her. She made approximately 20 movies a year throughout the 1990s and starred in more than 400 adult films during her career. Her films frequently featured gang bangs and creampies. She was also well known for appearing in lesbian scenes.
Foxx and her husband, who attended her video and magazine shoots and eventually ended up working as a camera man, went on to work as content providers for Totally Tasteless Video and Heatwave. Through the ’90s, she most notably set up and starred in the «Aged to Perfection» and «Kitty’s Kinky Caper» film series for the Totally Tasteless Video Company and the Older Women’s Sperm Bank series. Actors in these movies were mostly amateurs, and a few are seen on several films within the series.

to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1978 where

1983. Later that same year she became
a topless showgirl on the Las Vegas Strip. Kitty and her husband have been «swinging» for 39 years and
she estimated that she had sex
with more than 15,000 men during
that time. Foxx claimed that she
tried to have sex with at least 3
men every day, and cited once to
have had sex with 38 men in a
gangbang at a bachelor party. In
1989 she appeared in a nude photo layout of a men’s magazine. She was asked if she would be interested in being in a porn movie the following year. She jumped at the chance and agreed. In 1990, Foxx made her debut
in the film «Nympho Heaven». She
loved having sex in the movies so
much that she quickly decided to be
a porn actress for as long as men
would desire to have her. Foxx made about 20 movies a year and has
starred in more than 400 adult films. She is also well known for her
lesbian scenes in those films. Her
most popular series of films are the «Aged to Perfection» films in
which she starred. Foxx was also the founder of «Over 50» Magazine and
appeared in every one of the
magazine’s issues. Foxx was riding
high in her success, but later on, Foxx’s woes and troubles would start
to take their toll on her life. Reportedly, Foxx had suffered from
a problem with substance abuse and
admitted herself into rehabilitation
for treatment. Foxx suffered an aneurysm in December 2003, then suffered a stroke in January 2004.
Foxx once established her official website, but it was shut down in
March of 2005. Arthur, her husband
of 41 years, died on May 1, 2005 at
the age of 66. After his death, their daughter decided to keep her mother
out of the public eye, by refusing
any attempts made by people of the
porn industry in contacting her.
On September 21, 2006, Kitty Foxx
died at her home in Las Vegas,
Nevada. The cause of death was
due to complications from a stroke, Foxx was 64 years old. Foxx’s
daughter was ultimately ashamed
and disgusted by her mother’s life
as a swinger and a porn star. For
that, her mother’s obituary in a
local Las Vegas newspaper reads that Foxx (obiturized under her real name) died as a beautician. Kitty Foxx will be remembered as a loving mother, a
devoted wife, and a loving grandmother. The porn industry will remember Kitty
Foxx as one of the industry’s greatest porn actresses, and as the proclaimed name, «The Grandmother of Porn». In
the end, she will be missed by all.

Foxx studied cosmetology to become a beautician before marrying Arthur Alan Hergett (who went by his middle name Alan) on December 30, 1964. They met at a bar and married 18 days later. Hergett had worked as a sub-contractor for NASA. The couple had one daughter, Michelle Hergett, and two granddaughters. Foxx was also stepmother to her husband’s son from a previous marriage, Mark Hergett. In 1978 the family moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. She would go on to work as a beautician at the Las Vegas Hilton for five years.

She had previously filled in for a friend who was going on vacation, and the couple bought The Look Inn, a topless bar, and she began appearing there.
